Esoteric stuff:

The inspiration for writing Underdog came from feeling like I never seem to be able to catch a break. Is there a story behind it? Yes, check my liner notes on the CD for an example. I chose Underdog for this project from a group of songs I had recorded for a demo. I felt it was neutral (not too slow, too fast, too flashy, etc.) and could potentially be enjoyed by a wide audience. I had been away from the guitar for 10 years when I listened to the CD "GUITAR fingerstyle" on the Narada label. I was so impressed with playing that it rekindled a love for the guitar. But this time around I have a passion for the acoustic guitar. At the time Underdog was recorded it had only been a year since my return to the guitar, and so my experience playing fingerstyle was limited.
